Back by popular demand, the Pollinator Plaza at National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic 2020 will again provide information on popular pollinator species, citizen science research projects, fundraising campaigns, and habitat programs being implemented to provide quality habitat for a host of grassland and wildflower-dependent species, including pollinators, upland birds and other wildlife.  In addition, there will be several hands-on activities available to educate participants of all ages on the value of pollinating insects and the habitat they call home.  New to the Pollinator Plaza in 2020, participants will have the opportunity to replicate the monarch butterfly migration where they will learn about the trials and tribulations of their annual 3,000-mile journey.

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever have emerged as national leaders for conserving habitat critical to monarchs and pollinators.  In the last six years, we have developed seed mixes that have included milkweed for 22,930 projects across the Midwest. Of those projects, we have impacted 263,371 acres and planted 984 million milkweed seeds.  In addition, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever employ 190 field biologists throughout the country. These biologists meet with 30,000+ landowners per year impacting over 1 million acres per year that benefit pollinators and game birds.
