Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever’s 2017 Bird Dogs for Habitat Campaign challenges upland hunters to cast a vote and make a tax-deductible donation on behalf of their favorite sporting dog breed. All contributions support the organization’s wildlife habitat conservation mission – and the places where bird dogs love to hunt. 

Upland hunters and conservationists in western Illinois are gathering this upcoming weekend to celebrate the inaugural banquet of the Brown County Chapter of Quail Forever.

Quail Forever members and upland supporters in Oklahoma and Texas will convene on March 25th at the Wellington Conference Center in Wichita Falls, Texas for the organization’s 2017 State Convention.

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever have announced the promotion of Jordan Martincich to Director of Development. A nine-year veteran of “The Habitat Organization,” Martincich will strengthen Pheasants Forever’s strategic partnership and philanthropic fundraising efforts to benefit the organization’s mission of wildlife habitat conservation.

Quail Forever and the National Bobwhite Conservation Initiative (NBCI) have established a partner commitment to quail conservation efforts by signing a Memorandum of Understanding through the year 2022. 

The NCLI national awards annually recognize one Pheasants Forever chapter and one Quail Forever chapter for their youth program efforts. Additionally, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever bestow NCLI national awards to outstanding volunteers and one key partner who have helped provide outdoor opportunities for youth throughout the nation.

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever, represented by Dave Nomsen, the conservation organization’s vice president of governmental affairs, joined partner organizations in welcoming Department of the Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to his first official day of duty. The collection of outdoor groups witnessed the 52nd Secretary for the department sign Secretarial Order No. 3347, which will increase access to public lands, a move praised by Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever.

Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever have named two new recruits to the organization’s National Youth Leadership Council – an advisory board of 20 young people from around the country, ages 12-18, who represent the hunting and conservation community for their age group.

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever named Bethany Erb as the organization’s new government affairs representative and its first Washington, D.C.-based employee.

Quail Forever volunteers in west Tennessee have increased the organization’s influence on wildlife habitat conservation and youth education with the formation a new chapter in Madison County.

Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever is excited to announce a new exhibitor area at the 2017 National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic devoted exclusively to the connection between honey bees, monarch butterflies, pheasants, quail and quality habitat. 

In 2016, Pheasants Forever, Inc., including its quail division, Quail Forever, improved habitat for pheasants, quail and other wildlife on more than 1.7 million acres. These accomplishments are attributed to working with more than 31,000 individual landowners, and chapter affiliates completing more than 15,200 wildlife habitat projects across the United States and Canada. 

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever have revealed the 2017 headlining presenters for the Wild Game Cooking Stage at National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic. Minnesota natives Amy Thielen, Jack Hennessey, and Jamie Carlson will be joined by returning chef, Hank Shaw, to provide flavorful wild game demonstrations at the Minneapolis Convention Center on February 17, 18 & 19.
