Quail Forever has announced the hiring of Ty Higginbotham as the organization’s new Range & Wildlife Conservationist in West Texas.

Quail Forever, along with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (NGPC) are challenging upland hunters to harvest four upland bird species this fall to complete the Nebraska Upland Slam for 2018.

Acquiring more than 200 Quail Forever members at its inaugural spring fundraiser and impacting 3500 adults/youth since the fall of 2017, the Illinois State University (ISU) Trap & Skeet Quail Forever chapter has quickly garnered the respect of its local community as a premier conservation group.

Quail Forever is proud to announce Kevin Brunk as the organization’s new Development Officer. Sharing a lifelong passion for the outdoors and upland hunting, Brunk will work closely with donors, members and supporters to increase organizational charitable giving in the name of wildlife habitat conservation efforts.

Quail Forever is gearing up to celebrate National Pollinator Week June 18 – 24 by publishing a content series highlighting the importance of pollinator habitat for bees and butterflies, as well as other wildlife -- namely upland birds.

Reopened this week to the benefit of soil, water, and wildlife nationwide, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has resumed acceptance of applications for the continuous Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) for the first time in over a year.

“The Habitat Organization” stands committed to helping shape a strong conservation title in 2018 Farm Bill. 

Quail hunters in Oklahoma have added another chapter of Quail Forever in the state’s northwest region. Officially known as the Plainsmen Chapter of Quail Forever, the new committee is building its presence in the Enid, Okla. area with hopes of increasing bobwhite quail numbers through local habitat improvements.  

Quail Forever has announced the addition of two Coordinating Wildlife Biologists in the state of Texas to assist landowners in implementing early successional habitat projects for the benefit of quail and other wildlife. 

Quail Forever’s National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic, the nation’s largest upland-themed event, will be held February 22, 23 & 24, 2019, at the Schaumburg Convention Center in suburban Chicago.

Quail Forever has selected Chad Love as the organization’s new Editor for Quail Forever’s Journal of Quail Conservation, the signature publication of the nation’s foremost quail habitat conservation group.

On March 29, 2018, at the 83rd North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference in Virginia, the National Park Service (NPS) and Quail Forever (QF) signed an agreement to work together to restore native grasslands throughout the U.S.

Quail Forever’s largest event, National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic, recently concluded in Sioux Falls as thousands of upland supporters flocked to the Sioux Falls Convention Center. During the event, three local chapters from the state of Missouri were praised with top honors for their volunteer efforts over the past year in the categories of habitat projects, membership, and conservation advocacy.

The Southwest Georgia Chapter of Quail Forever will host the Georgia Quail Invitational on January 25-27 in Albany, Georgia. This event draws attendees and sponsors from across the country for three days of fundraising, hunting, auctions, food, live music and more, all supporting wildlife habitat conservation and hunting traditions of the Southeast.

Quail Forever has revealed the 2018 headlining presenters for the Wild Game Cooking Stage at National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic.
