Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever Promote Katie Kauzlarich-Stockman to Illinois State Coordinator

Quail Forever is pleased to announce the promotion of Katie Kauzlarich-Stockman to Illinois State Coordinator. In her new role, Kauzlarich-Stockman is responsible for oversight of Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever programs and staff throughout the state, with an overarching obligation to create and nurture partnerships in Illinois that leverage resources to deliver the organization’s mission of wildlife habitat conservation.

“With a diverse and substantial assortment of programs and partnerships that help deliver our critical mission in Illinois, Katie’s talent and experience will be key to building on the organization’s historical success in the Land of Lincoln,” stated Kent Adams, director of field operations (east region) for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever. “In her former role, Katie excelled at bringing people together to accomplish a shared vision. Her credibility with our volunteer chapters, staff, and partners including USDA-NRCS, Illinois DNR, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and others, will position her for a quick and successful transition to state coordinator. No one knows Illinois better, and we are fortunate to have Katie guiding our efforts throughout the state.”

A native of Farmington, Illinois, Kauzlarich-Stockman graduated from Augustana College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. She was formerly employed as a naturalist at Forest Park Nature Center in Peoria Heights in 2013 before joining Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever in 2015 as the outreach coordinator for Illinois. Since that time, Kauzlarich-Stockman has helped grow a robust youth/adult outdoor education and recruitment program for Illinois’ 41 Pheasants Forever chapters and 23 Quail Forever chapters representing nearly 9,000 members. Additionally, her relationships with partner organizations, agencies, corporations, and habitat programs developed over the past five years made her an ideal candidate for Illinois State Coordinator.

“My time working with volunteers and partners in Illinois has shown a dedication to habitat and outreach that is unmatched. I look forward expanding Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever’s mission in Illinois so current and future generations can enjoy the diverse habitat and hunting that our state has to offer,” said Katie Kauzlarich-Stockman.
