Build a Wildlife Area® is Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever's permanent habitat protection program delivering fee-title habitat and public hunting access endeavoring to create a landscape of quality upland habitat supporting wild, sustainable populations of upland birds and other wildlife.
FY2026 Impact
From July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever completed 23 Build A Wildlife Area projects totaling 3,996 acres. Working with willing sellers, many of whom had a legacy vision for their property to become a public wildlife area, along with our partners, chapters, donors, and supporters, we achieved $19,578,425 in critical upland habitat protection projects now perpetually benefiting wildlife and providing public hunting access.
