Nathan Pflueger
Nebraska Precision Ag Coordinator

Pflueger

Nathan grew up in rural Nebraska always doing something outdoors from sports to hunting and fishing. He enjoyed working with plants and animals but was never sure how he was going to put those interests to work. After receiving his B.S. Degree in range/wildlife management he had the opportunity to work on a switchgrass research project for the University of Texas at Austin. Nathan is currently finishing a M.S. in agronomy, range, and forage science through the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. His research focused on cover crops/annual forages and implementing them into real world systems throughout Nebraska. The Precision Ag Coordinator position has been a perfect fit since it allows him to work with row crop producers to implement soil health practices that not only help their operations, but the environment and wildlife at the same time.

Ryan Heiniger
Director of Agriculture

Heiniger

Ryan leads PF/QF's Agriculture Initiative, including precision ag and conservation solution program. This program develops new private-sector partnerships to improve farmer profitability, sustainability and wildlife habitat along with other key environmental outcomes such as carbon sequestration in restored grasslands. Ryan has a B.S. degree from Iowa State University in Wildlife Biology and has worked for PF/QF since 2013. Ryan and his wife Nikki are raising their son and daughter as the 5th generation on their family farm along the banks of the Mississippi River in southeast Iowa. Ryan has 22 years of experience working with diverse partners to conserve habitats at landscape scales using innovative, voluntary-based programs. His core belief is that agriculture, conservation and our hunting heritages are uniquely linked and our future is also dependent upon working together since society has become urbanized and disconnected from life on the gravel roads of rural America.
