Nathan Pflueger
Nebraska Precision Ag Coordinator
Nathan grew up in rural Nebraska always doing something outdoors from sports to hunting and fishing. He enjoyed working with plants and animals but was never sure how he was going to put those interests to work. After receiving his B.S. Degree in range/wildlife management he had the opportunity to work on a switchgrass research project for the University of Texas at Austin. Nathan is currently finishing a M.S. in agronomy, range, and forage science through the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. His research focused on cover crops/annual forages and implementing them into real world systems throughout Nebraska. The Precision Ag Coordinator position has been a perfect fit since it allows him to work with row crop producers to implement soil health practices that not only help their operations, but the environment and wildlife at the same time.

Brittany Smith
Kansas Precision Ag & Conservation Specialist
Brittany is based out of Pratt, KS, as the Precision Ag & Conservation Specialist for western and central Kansas. Prior to joining the Kansas Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever team she worked for the Natural Resources Conservation Service and as a wetland biologist. Most recently, she served as Coordinating Wildlife Biologist with KS Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever before transitioning into the Precision Ag & Conservation Specialist role. With strong personal ties to agriculture via her small family farm located in west-central Minnesota, she knows the key to sustainability in ag is profitability, and as a biologist who has worked directly helping growers implement conservation programs, she understands the many tools available to help them both improve habitat and their bottom line.
