PF & QF’s Youth Learn to Hunt events are all about getting kids outside, learning new skills, and having fun in the field. With hands-on activities, safe instruction, and exciting first hunts, young participants gain confidence, connect with nature, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Aimed for hunters age 12-17 years old, youth need to have completed HUNTER'S SAFETY and have a MICHIGAN BASE LICENSE before this event. Youth must have a parent or guardian attend the event with them. The chapter will provide 12 and 20 gauge ammunition for the event.

Youth Event
This ticket will cover a year long Youth Ringneck Pheasants Forever Associate Membership and will register you for the youth hunt. The day of the event we will have volunteers who will handle bird dogs and one-on-one mentors for each participant on the hunt. The chapter will also cover ammunition for the event (12 gauge and 20 gauge).

Participants will need to have a MICHIGAN BASE LICENCE and HUNTER'S SAFETY prior to the event.
Youth will need to have a parent or guardian attend the event with them. Due to new insurance regulations we are unable to allow any extra people in the field during the hunt but we ask the parents to stay to enjoy a warm beverage, a snack and conversation. If you would be interested in being a field mentor during this hunt, please contact us. Hunter's orange vest/shirt/coat/hat will be required for the youth.

*If you have to cancel for any reason, please contact us at thumbsupwomenonthewing@gmail.com ASAP. Availability is limited to only 6 participants and we may have people on the waitlist who would like to fill an opening.
