Northwest PA Youth Learn to Hunt event​​​​​​​​

Mentored hunt with trained hunting dogs for up to 20 youth hunters. Check in at 0800-0830. Mandatory safety briefing will start at 0830. Hunting will take place between 0900-1200. Youth will be divided into groups of 3-5 hunters according to age and experience and assigned to guides with trained hunting dogs. Youth model 20 gauge shotguns will be provided free of charge if needed. Participants must have completed an approved hunter safety training course and wear the required blaze orange. Parents/guardians must register via email with the hunt coordinator at least one week prior to the date of the hunt. Parent or guardian participation in the hunting fields will be per PA Game Commission guidelines and all participating parents must wear a blaze orange hat and vest. Unlicensed youth must obtain a youth mentored permit. Junior license holder must present proof of completing an official Hunter safety training course.
