Sponsored by Golden Triangle Chapter of Pheasants Forever, Golden Triangle Sporting Dog Club (GTSDC), Scheels, and FWP.  This will be our 8th year to provide this program free of charge.  Youth must have completed hunter's safety. If a certificate has been obtained through the Apprentice Hunter program they may be considered for a slot. Space is limited to 12 youth. There will be gun safety instruction and shooting at a clay pigeon station. Youth must demonstrate shotgun safety and complete shooting at the clay pigeon station before going to the field for a live hunt of pheasants. Youth will be accompanied in the field by a mentor, dog handler and sporting dog. Youth that have their own 410 or 20 gauge shotguns are encouraged to bring them. A gun will be provided if your youth does not have their own. We will provide 410 and 20 gauge shotgun ammo. Youth will receive a certificate of completion and a free 1 year youth membership to Pheasants Forever. Last year was a blast and we look forward to seeing you and your youth.
