The Carver County Pheasants Forever Youth Hunt is an annual event organized by Pheasants Forever in Carver County, Minnesota, aimed at introducing young hunters to the sport of pheasant hunting in a safe, supervised, and educational environment. It's designed to provide youth participants with hands-on experience and guidance in upland hunting techniques, firearm safety, and conservation awareness. Starting time for each hunter will be provided 1 week prior to the hunt
The youth hunt includes:
Guided Hunts: Each young participant is paired with experienced hunters and dog handlers, who guide them through the hunting process.
Safety Education: Before hitting the fields, participants go through a firearm safety and handling session.
Conservation Talks: Youth are educated on the importance of habitat preservation and the role of hunting in conservation.
Mentorship and Camaraderie: The hunt includes mentoring, where young hunters get a chance to learn directly from experienced hunters and build camaraderie with their peers.
Pheasants Forever organizes these hunts as part of their mission to promote wildlife habitat conservation and to encourage the next generation of conservationists and ethical hunters. For the safety of all involved, Carver County Pheasants Forever reserves the right to refuse participation of any registrant as it may determine in is sole discretion.
