Quail Forever has announced the addition of Joe Long as the organization’s newest Development Officer. Long will work to strengthen Quail Forever’s strategic partnership and philanthropic fundraising efforts to benefit the organization’s mission of wildlife habitat conservation.

“Joe understands the grassroots nature of ‘The Habitat Organization’ and brings a shared passion for business development and our overall mission to this growing team,” stated David Bue, vice president of development for Quail Forever. “His results-oriented mindset and track record of building effective relationships will help us achieve our fundraising objectives and strategic initiatives.”

Long will be responsible for working in collaboration with Quail Forever team members, donors, volunteers, and partners to expand private, corporate, and public funding relationships. Additionally, building a stronger culture of philanthropy among Quail Forever constituents is a top priority. This includes but is not limited to: major gift fundraising, planned giving, donor relations, and elite-level memberships.

"I'm extremely excited to be joining a very talented team and learning from their experiences, all with the greater goal of helping the organization accomplish our strategic priorities,” said Joe Long. “Being a lifelong hunter and outdoorsman, it is dream of mine to be working for an organization that has such an impact in the world of wildlife habitat conservation.”

Prior to joining Quail Forever, Long worked in various sales management functions in the sports industry, most recently as the Director of Season Ticket Services for Minnesota United FC, as well as a similar role with the Minnesota Twins. Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Long is a graduate of St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota. Long works out of Quail Forever’s national headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, skiing, traveling and being outdoors with his friends, family and one-year-old red lab, Shay.
