Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever announce Jim Inglis as the organization’s director of governmental affairs. A 14-year veteran of “The Habitat Organization,” Inglis will strengthen Quail Forever’s state and national-level advocacy efforts to improve policies that benefit quail, pheasants and other wildlife.

 

“Jim understands the grassroots nature of Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever,” said Dave Nomsen, Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever’s vice president of governmental affairs, “The views and ideas from our 140,000 members and 700-plus chapters are the basis for our representation when working on conservation policy. Having served Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever in multiple capacities—chapter volunteer, regional representative, Farm Bill biologist coordinator, governmental affairs representative—Jim is ready to represent Quail Forever in this new leadership role.”

 

For more than 30 years, "The Habitat Organization" has excelled as an advocate for conservation policy through strong partnerships with state and federal agencies. As the director of governmental affairs, Inglis will serve an important role representing Quail Forever and Pheasants Forever’s collective voice on wildlife habitat conservation and hunting heritage, both at the state level and in Washington, D.C. 

 

“Our advocacy efforts include working with policy makers and agencies at the state and national levels to ensure we have sound conservation programs that result in quality habitat acres on the ground nationwide. These efforts are made possible because of the grassroots support from our chapter leaders and members, as well as the conservation program support from our state and federal agency partners,” stated Jim Inglis, director of governmental affairs for Quail Forever and Pheasants Foreverr. “I’m looking forward to continuing to build partnerships and relationships that result in delivering ‘The Habitat Organization’s’ mission.”

 

A native of Clifton Springs, New York, Inglis grew up on a dairy farm where he developed his interest in hunting, natural resources and agriculture. He completed his undergraduate degree at the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse and obtained his Master’s degree in Wildlife Management from Mississippi State University. Inglis currently resides in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, with his wife, Miranda, two sons, and German shorthaired pointer, “Stella.”
