Beer Enthusiasts to Help the Birds and Bees at Inaugural Beer for Birds

Indiana Pheasants Forever is hosting its first-ever "Beer for Birds" event on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the EventzPLUS center in the Castleton, Indiana area for an evening of beer sampling.
The event is being sponsored by Sugar Creek Hops, Indiana's premier commercial hop farm, located in Boone County, Indiana.

The event is an awareness campaign to inform the public on the value of building quality habitat for pheasants, quail, pollinators, and other wildlife in Indiana. All proceeds generated will help fund programming and projects that are ongoing throughout the state.

At the event, Indiana’s growing craft beer culture can taste and appreciate specialty beers from breweries across the state. General Admission tickets are valued at $35 per person, but are offered now at the special pricing of just $10 per attendee, available on the event website at www.BeerForBirds.com.

Breweries at the event include Union Brewing Co. (Carmel), Carson’s Brewery (Evansville), Bier Brewery (Indianapolis), Scarlet Lane Brewing Co. (McCordsville), Books & Brews (Indianapolis), Salt Creek Brewery (Bedford), Powerhouse Brewing Co. (Columbus), and more! Each brewery is bringing three or more of their best beverages for attendees to sample. Additionally, representatives from many of the breweries will be on hand to meet their fans.

Bands providing entertainment are Alex Williams (from Williams and Co) and James Kramer. These two acts will be sure to keep the audience entertained while they sample beer and enjoy food throughout the evening.
The General Admission offering ($10) includes admission and unlimited samples from brewers. Food, dessert, soft drinks, and a VIP upgrade are available for an additional cost at the event center. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older to attend.

General Admission tickets are now available online for just $10 at www.BeerForBirds.com. Doors open at 6pm on May 31, 2014. The event is held at the EventzPLUS center, located at 7960 Castleway Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana.
