ACTION ALERT: Tell Kansas Legislators Not to Limit Conservation Easements

Right now, conservation easements, one of our most important conservation partnership tools and private property rights of conservation-minded landowners, are under threat of being eliminated by the Kansas legislature.

It is critical that supporters of wildlife habitat and natural resource conservation contact every Kansas senator by email or phone today in opposition of legislation that would eliminate conservation easements in Kansas.

Originally introduced as Senate Bill 323 (that number could change), this measure would strip private property rights from Kansas landowners and destroy one of the best tools available to our Kansas habitat conservation partnerships.

If you support lasting, large-scale conservation of Kansas’ wildlife habitat, call and email all Kansas senators and ask them to vote against any legislation that would limit the use of conservation easements in Kansas.

Following are phone numbers and live email links for the Kansas Senate membership.

Thanks for your quick action BEFORE 5 PM today.
