Top trainers, breeders and outfitters all featured at Annual Celebration

When National Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic kicks off on February 17, rest assured there will be no shortage of bird dogs on the show floor.

Even after the Bird Dog Parade comes to an end, visitors can see all kinds of exhibitors, trainers and presenters centered around our favorite hunting companions. Bird Dog Alley, in conjunction with the Bird Dog Stage, will feature some of the nations top canine professionals ready to help get you involved in the world of hunting dogs — plus there’s puppies.

Here are a few key things to check out along Bird Dog Alley.

Hunt Clubs

One of the best ways bird dog owners can get involved in the community and keep their dogs in shape all year long is to join a local or national hunt test club. The North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association, American Kennel Club and the Greater Minnesota Hunt Test Association will all be featured on the show floor. Each group offers incredible opportunities for gun dog owners to take their training to the next level and meet like-minded outdoorsmen and women.

There’s also a number of breed specific clubs coming to the show floor, including the North America Deutsch Kurhaar Club, the American Water Spaniel Club, the Curley Coat Retriever Club of America and the Large Munsterlander Association of America.

Bird Dog Gear

Nobody loves new gear and gadgets more than bird dog owners, and Pheasant Fest features some of the nation’s top manufacturers of dog-centric products. The Bird Dog Stage is presented by diamond sponsor Purina and gold sponsor SportDog, both of whom will also have a large presence on the bird dog alley. Longtime partner of the Habitat Organization Ruffland Kennels will also be on the show floor with a vast array of their performant kennels to choose from. Other notable exhibits to check out include Alpha Dog Nutrition, RPM Training Products and Paw Print Genetics.

Trainers, breeders and kennels

Bird Dog Alley will also include some of the nation’s top breeders and kennels for hunters looking to add a dog to their family, or just hone-in the skills of their existing dogs. After stopping by the Bird Dog Stage for a training seminar, check out exhibitors like Zumbro River Sporting Dogs, River Bottom Dog Training, Buckley Creek Bretons, Hackberry Kennels and many more.

The 2023 National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic will take place at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis on February 17-19. Tickets and more information can be found at: PheasantFest.org.
