Volunteers plan to improve wildlife habitat across the north central region

Quail Forever (QF) is excited to introduce a new chapter start in Alabama. The Cullman on Point Chapter of QF plans to introduce people of all ages to the impact conservation efforts have on habitat, wildlife, and upland traditions.

Unique among national conservation organizations, chapters of Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever retain 100 percent decision-making control over fundraising dollars, allowing volunteers to support impactful wildlife habitat projects, public access initiatives, and conservation education programs throughout the upland bird range. Quail Forever regional representative Michael Acker will work closely with the new chapter to support the organization’s vision to sustain abundant populations of quail and other wildlife.

“The Cullman on Point Chapter has a passionate core group of volunteers,” Acker said. “I’m excited to see the impact the chapter will make on conservation efforts in northern Alabama for quail and other wildlife.

Chapter volunteers are excited to work with local farmers and landowners on conservation projects while educating the community about quail habitat and hunting. Their goal is to create more awareness of conservation efforts in northern Alabama, with hopes of leaving behind upland habitat for future generations to enjoy.
