Peters brings successful track record of major gift and leadership fundraising accomplishments to The Habitat Organization

Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever are excited to introduce Kassidy Peters as the organization’s newest development officer based in South Dakota. In her new role, Peters will be responsible for working in collaboration with the organization’s donors, members, volunteers, and partners to expand private, corporate, and public funding relationships benefiting upland habitat conservation.

“Kassidy is not only a passionate hunter and conservationist, but also a talented professional with proven success in fundraising and relationship building,” said Jake Hanson, Director of Development for PF & QF. “Kassidy is uniquely equipped to help expand the organization’s network of passionate supporters and donors, helping grow our footprint and mission for upland wildlife throughout the country.”

Building a strong culture of philanthropy among Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever constituents is a top priority, which includes but is not limited to – leadership gifts and major gifts, charitable bequests, corporate philanthropy, real estate and conservation easements, endowments and grant funding.

Peters joins the team after a successful track record of major gift and leadership fundraising accomplishments within multiple non-profit organizations including her most recent role as director of development for Collision Ministries, spearheading national expansion through strategic fundraising and outreach. Peters is an avid outdoorswoman and upland bird hunter with deep family traditions of pheasant hunting behind vizslas and Labrador retrievers.

“I'm honored to join Pheasants Forever and work alongside individuals who share a deep passion for conserving pheasants, wildlife, and the quality habitat they depend on,” said Peters. “I look forward to connecting with supporters and partners to expand public access, strengthen education, and ensure healthy habitat for future generations. This work is vital not only for wildlife, but also for the family traditions and values we hold dear across our country.”

Peters, based out of Watertown, SD, will focus on continuing to expand philanthropic support and deepen relationships with supporters in The Pheasant Capital while also leaning into her established connections with passionate, conservation-minded supporters beyond South Dakota’s borders to further the organization’s habitat mission.
