The new Yuma Arizona Chapter is off to a good start! Arizona’s newest chapter wasted little time in defining what their chapter was going to focus their efforts on — mentoring new women hunters.

This event was held in September and connected this chapter with our local biologist, Zaara Kidwai, who participated in the Women’s Dove Hunting Group and bagged four doves with two of each kind. Another mentor was David Gutierrez, Regional Representative for QF in the Southwestern US.

This event introduced 20 women, all new to hunting, to the world class dove hunting Yuma offers as well as creating a fun day with a lot of excitement. Oh yea, one last thing — everyone got at least one dove that day, ensuring all the participants and mentors will always have fond memories of Pheasants Forever and Yuma Arizona.
