Ambitious project is poised to make a profound impact by increasing wildlife and improving forest health

The Morehouse Family Forest Initiative (MFFI) is an ambitious project intended to connect landowners in Arkansas and Louisiana with the resources they need to actively manage their forests. The project is rooted in a deep commitment to conservation and community stewardship with the intent to benefit both wildlife and landowners. This unique collaboration involves thirteen partners, including both private and public entities, with Quail Forever coordinating conservation efforts across state lines.

These collaborative efforts involve innovative strategies, including a diverse array of communication efforts to reach landowners and provide the technical assistance and education they need to manage their forests, including the use of prescribed fire. Through innovative strategies, community engagement, and a steadfast commitment to conservation, the MFFI, in partnership with Quail Forever, is poised to make a profound impact by increasing wildlife and improving forest health.
